Japan launched an audit of the Russian system of veterinary control and inspection of enterprises for the production of finished meat products

On March 25 of this year there was a meeting of representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor and the Federal Center for Animal Health (FSBI "ARRIAH") with the representatives of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan . The event was timed to the beginning of the work of Japanese specialists in Russia in order to assess the current control system for avian influenza, as well as to inspect two enterprises producing finished meat products. As part of their mission, the Japanese inspectors will visit Bryansk, Tula and Oryol regions.

During the meeting, Japanese experts familiarized themselves with the scientific activities of the FGBI “ VNIIZH”, which is the Reference Laboratory of the International Epizootic Bureau on Highly Pathogenic and Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease.

The parties discussed the epizootic situation on especially dangerous animal and bird diseases in the Russian Federation. The FGBU "VNIIZH" staff provided information on the regionalization of the Russian Federation on highly pathogenic avian influenza.

At the end of its visit, the Japanese delegation praised the work of the FGBU "VNIIZH" and the level of training.

Rosselkhoznadzor thanked the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan for the visit to Russia and said that the priority task of the Service is to realize the country's export potential, taking into account the strict official control of compliance of products supplied to foreign markets with the requirements of the importing country.
