Localy produced marbled beef appeared on the shelves of supermarkets in the Stavropol Territory. Premium quality meat is produced by the collective farm "Rodina" in the village of Dmitrievskoye, Krasnogvardeisky district, the newspaper "Stavropolskaya Pravda" reports.

The cooperative specializes in breeding the Dmitriev type of the Hereford breed of cattle - these are breeding animals of the meat production direction. Farmers are successfully introducing modern technologies of animal husbandry and meat processing. In particular, the SPK Kolkhoz Rodina uses the technology of dry aging of carcasses and maturation of meat. Products of its deep processing are delivered to retail in vacuum packaging.

Dmitrievsky type of hornless herefords is a highly productive livestock. Steers retain their vigorous growth up to 24 months, reach 650-760 kilograms at this age and produce beef of exceptionally high quality.
