Such a difference may be due to a different number of importers, and in monetary terms – a sharp difference in prices. The total value of exports last year amounted to 1 billion 746 million US dollars.
Approximately similar figures were found for the production of meat products. The largest share was again found in poultry meat - 45 percent, pork accounted for 39 percent, beef - 14, lamb - as in exports, two percent. Total meat output increased by two percent: the figure for beef increased by the same amount, for pork by five, for poultry it remained at the 2022 level, and for lamb it decreased by one percent. In exact figures, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live and slaughter weight amounted to 16.5 and about 12 million tons, respectively, consumption - 11.8 million. Savkina also cited the dynamics over the past six years in the production and consumption of different types of meat. According to the above infographic, poultry meat production stagnated from 2018 to 2020, when growth was 4.9 percent. In 2021, production increased by five percent, in 2022 and last year it again stopped at 5.3%. More noticeable dynamics were observed for pork: in 2018, its output increased by 3.9, 2019 - 4.1, in 2020 and 2021 - by 4.5, 2022 - 4.7, last year - 5%. Complete stagnation was observed for beef and lamb - for all five years their production increased annually by 1.6 and 0.2 percent, respectively. The dynamics of consumption were not much more active. For poultry meat, from 2018 to 2021 it increased by 4.9%, from 2022 to 2023 – by 5%. For pork, the figure increased first by 3.9, then by 4.1 percent, in the next two years by 4.3 each, and in the year before and last year by 4.6 and 4.7. Beef consumption amounted to two in the first two years, from 2020 to 2021 - 1.9, the last two - 1.8 and also 1.9, and lamb - by 0.2 percent annually.
