World meat industry news

In January-September 2019, meat production, including offal, increased in Russia by 7.7% in annual terms and amounted to 2 million tons, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reports. Poultry meat production decreased by 3.1% to 3.5 million tons.

Over three quarters, 2.6 million tons of sausages were produced - the same amount as a year earlier. 

Crude sunflower oil production grew by 20% to 3.7 million tons. The production of fish and fish products grew by 0.6% to 3.2 million tons. Cheese production increased by 8.8% to 390 thousand tons.
