The production of pet food in our country is actively developing. Last year it grew by 10.8%, and for six months of the current year - by 8%. Output volumes not only provide the bulk of domestic needs, but also allow exporting these products to other countries, writes The DairyNews with reference to the telegram channel of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Today, more than 190 enterprises from 50 regions of Russia operate in this segment. The main industrial production is concentrated in the Altai Territory, Belgorod, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Ulyanovsk, Tver regions and in the Republic of Mordovia. In recent years, many foreign companies have localized their production in our country.

The withdrawal of certain imported brands from the Russian market gives an incentive to domestic producers to further expand the range and increase capacity.
