From the beginning of 2018 to November 4, Russia exported 4.6 thousand tons of beef, which is almost one and a half times more than the year ago (3.1 thousand tons),  the Ministry of Agriculture and the Federal Customs Service reported.

The export of poultry meat amounted 114.3 thousand tons, which is 24.8% more than the year ago (91.6 thousand tons).

Pork exports grew by 22.1% to 63.2 thousand tons against 51.8 thousand tons for the corresponding period of the previous year.

At the same time, meat imports decreased significantly. Thus, the supply of pork fell by 76% to 62.1 thousand tons from 258.9 thousand tons a year ago, poultry meat - by 28%, to 61.3 thousand tons against 85.2 thousand tons, respectively. Beef imports decreased by 6.7% to 241.2 thousand tons against 258.6 thousand tons in 2017.
