  • 03 Dec 2021, 10:16

Minister of Agriculture Askarbek Dzhanybekov told at a briefing how it is planned to replace cattle in Kyrgyzstan. As he said, the local bull gains about 700-900 grams per day, while the Hereford breed gives more than two kilograms of weight gain for the same feed and costs.

The minister noted that Kyrgyzstan needs to import 100-150 thousand heads of cattle annually.

He expects that local farmers will receive imported highly productive livestock on lease at 6-10% for 7-10 years through the Aiyl Bank.
