Agro-industrial holding Miratorg exported a record 160 thousand tons of meat in 2022, the company's profit from exports amounted to about $500 million. Viktor Linnik said this on Thursday in an interview with RBC TV channel as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“Last year we set a record, we exported 160,000 tons of meat, almost $500 million worth. This is a plan for us, but even in this turbulent time we managed to do it,” he said.
Linnik noted that 60 thousand tons of meat were exported to China and the countries of Southeast Asia, 50 thousand tons to the CIS countries, "the rest - little by little to the countries of Europe and the Persian Gulf." He stressed that the volume of exports over the past year increased by 220%, the main contribution to this was made by deliveries to the countries of Southeast Asia and the CIS.
According to the head of Miratorg, the holding intends to increase export volumes, because "if we remain with these volumes inside Russia, the price will drop low, and it will be difficult for us to get the profitability we are counting on."
Miratorg Holding is one of the largest producers of pork and beef, as well as a supplier of meat on the Russian market. The company operates in 19 regions of Russia. The first company store of the Miratorg agro-industrial holding opened in 2010. The retail network stores are located in nine regions of the country.
