In the first nine months of this year, Russian meat producer Miratorg has increased its pork production by 1.9% to 312 thousand tons in live weight.

Miratorg's pig-breeding division includes 28 modern pig complexes. Pig-breeding sites of the agricultural holding are located on the territory of Belgorod and Kursk regions. The number of pigs at the end of September in the company's pig farms amounted to 2.23 million heads.

Over the past 3 quarters of the current year, the largest in Russia high-tech enterprise SK Korocha processed more than 2.63 million heads of pigs, producing 255 thousand tons of products, which is 2% more than in 2017. Production in consumer packaging increased by 14% compared with the previous year and amounted to more than 51 thousand tons.

The agricultural holding within the project of doubling the pig-breeding division of the company plans to increase production to 1 million tons of pork in live weight per year by 2023, which will almost 100% meet the needs of the Russian domestic market for this type of meat, as well as fully complete the construction of a robotic meat-packing plant processing 4.5 million head per year.
