ABH Miratorg, the largest agribusiness holding in Russia, increaseы pork production in live weight by 1.9% to 423 thousand tons in 2018 in comparison with 2017 year.

Miratorg is a leading producer of pork with more than 90 production sites located in Belgorod and Kursk regions. The company strategic goal is to increase the pork production to 1 million tons in live weight, which will significantly increase the economic and physical availability of pork for consumers on the domestic market and boost Miratorg’s export potential.

Vertically integrated production chain of the holding includes the largest in Russia high-tech meat processing enterprise SK Korocha. The plant operates at full capacity and has produced about 365.6 thousand tons of products over the past year. Including products in consumer packaging - 66.1 thousand tons, which is 10.5% more than in 2017.

The agribusiness holding started the implementation of the largest inter-regional project to double the pig-breeding capacity, which includes the construction of new livestock facilities, feed mills and Europe’s largest robotic slaughterhouse. After reaching full capacity, the enterprise in Chernitsyno, Kursk region, will produce 525 thousand tons of pork in slaughter weight per year. The launch of the first workshops of the slaughterhouse is scheduled for 2020. 

“The increase in production is due to the launch of new pig sites of the holding, as well as an increase in the efficiency of slaughter and processing facilities. We plan to continue increasing the production and supplying to the market a wide range of high-quality products, creating new workplaces with decent wages and social guarantees for rural residents, ”commented the press-service of Miratorg.
