On March 21, 2022, an economic analytical seminar was held at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, with participation of Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice President of the Chamber. The meeting was devoted to discussing the state of the Russian economy and measures to overcome the consequences of sanctions. The seminar was moderated by Deputy Director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics Olga Butorina.
The speech of Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, was devoted to the state of industrial potential and investment activity during the period of restrictive measures and the role of the system of chambers of commerce and industry in solving the problems of entrepreneurs. He briefly informed about the activities of the system of chambers of commerce and industry, the state of the Russian economy, especially its industrial potential, by the time the crisis began, and forecasts for the development of the "adaptation" scenario in the next two years.
The Federal Chamber monitors the economic situation on a daily basis, actively works with the business and expert community on strategies for overcoming the crisis, promotes the establishment of anti-crisis mechanisms that help entrepreneurs find new suppliers, markets and financing.
Dmitry Kurochkin answered the questions of the seminar participants regarding the activities of members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation - industry associations, specialized committees and councils under sanctions, the improvement of monetary and tax policy, taking into account ongoing expert discussions and proposals in the Chamber, and the promotion of preferential financing mechanisms for industrial cooperation projects within the EAEU.
Summing up the results of the seminar, Olga Butorina expressed the readiness of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences to cooperate more closely with the system of chambers of commerce and industry on a wide range of issues of economic and investment activities.
