Romir regularly calculates the monthly FMCG Index, an indicator that shows the dynamics of the share of household spending on food and non-food categories of consumer goods in the structure of all household expenses. In October, FMCG goods accounted for 47.9% of Russians' spending. This is 0.9% more than in September (47.5%). Compared to the same period last year, the index is up 6.5%, The DairyNews was told in the press service of the organization.


“The index still remains at a record high level, not counting periods of anomalous surges under the influence of factors external to the market. This trend indicates a gradual structural shift in the budget of the Russians,” said Ksenia Paizanskaya, director of the M-Romir direction.
