The state leasing company Rosagroleasing, after the withdrawal of some foreign manufacturers of agricultural machinery from the Russian Federation, is gradually replacing its leasing supplies with domestic machines and equipment from friendly countries, the company's general director Pavel Kosov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"We can replace everything that has been retired. I am sure that our agricultural machinery is able to compete with any foreign models, and therefore everything that we produce will find its demand. Perhaps, we need to temporarily limit our exports to the most sensitive positions, so that it does not run counter to the interests of the domestic consumer," Kosov said.
According to him, the share of John Deere, Bednar, JCB, Volkswagen and Renault that left the Russian Federation was just over 1% of the company's leasing portfolio.
"The equipment they supplied can be replaced by domestic manufacturers or manufacturers from friendly countries," Kosov said.
He also pointed out that there were no operational difficulties in this regard: deliveries were made under all advanced contracts. Since March, the company has been actively working on the supply of equipment from friendly countries.
"And many companies want to sell us their products, which, by the way, are noticeably cheaper than their American and European counterparts," Kosov said.
For example, contracts have already been concluded for the supply of machinery and equipment from India, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and South Korea.
In addition, it is planned to equalize the conditions for leasing for Russian and Belarusian equipment, which are subject to Belarusian subsidies: according to Kosov, farmers need agricultural equipment from Belarus, and the company would like to sell it with the possibility of a zero advance payment and for a period of more than 5 years.
In general, the main clients (80% of the portfolio) of Rosagroleasing are Russian farmers representing small and medium-sized businesses, and the traditional leaders in terms of orders are Krasnodar Territory, Stavropol Territory, Bashkiria, Tatarstan, Saratov and Samara Regions, Altai Territory.
In addition, half of the agricultural equipment used in the Crimea, which is in the top 10 customers, was delivered through Rosagroleasing, the head of the company noted.
Rosagroleasing JSC is a state-owned leasing company whose activities are aimed at the technical and technological modernization of the domestic agro-industrial complex by leasing means of production to entrepreneurs.
