The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor)has lifted the temporary restrictions on the import of poultry meat to Russia from  Kazakhstan. At the end of September 2018, the Rosselkhoznadzor restricted the import of live poultry and poultry products from the North Kazakhstan region in connection with the registration of Newcastle disease foci.

Rosselkhoznadzortook into account that the epizootic situation in this area has improved, and Kazakhstan also conducted a set of veterinary measures and introduced rehabilitation and regionalization programs. Rosselkhoznadzor found it possible  to cancel temporary restrictions on the import of live poultry and hatching eggs from the North Kazakhstan region from June 3, 2019.
