During the period from November 27 to December 9, Rosselkhoznadzor inspects Brazilian meat processing enterprises interested in exporting their products to the Russian market.

During the inspections, the system for ensuring veterinary safety of livestock production, in particular beef and poultry meat, will be assessed.

In addition to visiting enterprises for slaughtering and processing beef and poultry meat, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists will visit farms where cattle and poultry are kept and raised, as well as the state veterinary laboratory.

In addition, the Russian side will become familiar with the work of information systems of the veterinary service and will study the issue of moving raw materials, finished products, and by-products throughout the country and beyond its borders.

On the eve of the inspection, the head of the delegation, director of the All-Russian State Center for Quality and Standardization of Medicines for Animals and Feed (FSBI "VGNKI") Leonid Kish met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the Federative Republic of Brazil Alexey Labetsky.

During the meeting, issues of the work of the competent services of Brazil in accordance with the recommendations of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and the current epizootic situation in Brazil were discussed.
