The Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the import of poultry products from Poland due to the spread of bird flu. This is stated in the materials of the department.
"Due to the deterioration of the epizootic situation in Poland due to infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses, from November 27, 2020, temporary restrictions are imposed on the export to the Russian Federation from Poland of the following products: live poultry and hatching eggs; poultry meat, finished meat products from poultry and all types of poultry products containing poultry processing products, with the exception of products subject to processing, ensuring the destruction of avian influenza viruses; used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and cutting birds, "the message says.
The transit of live birds from Poland through the territory of the Russian Federation is also prohibited. In case of receipt of the specified products from Poland, shipped before November 27, 2020, the decision to pass such goods is made in the usual way.
Earlier, for the same reason, the Rosselkhoznadzor banned the supply of poultry products from Denmark and Great Britain.
In reality, the ban will affect the supply of live poultry and hatching eggs. The import of other poultry products from the EU countries is prohibited under the Russian food embargo, which has been in effect since August 2014.
