Inflation in Russia for the period from June 25 to July 1, 2022 rose to 0.23% against zero deflation a week earlier and three weeks of deflation before that, according to Rosstat data.
Since the beginning of July, consumer prices have increased by 0.2%, since the beginning of the year - by 11.77%. In annual terms, inflation as of July 1, 2022 (according to calculations using average daily data for this and last year on similar dates) was 16.19%.
The increase in prices and tariffs was influenced by the increase in the cost of a number of services, primarily in the housing and communal services sector (held annually in July). Commodity prices showed deflation in food products (mainly due to the continued seasonal decline in vegetable and fruit prices) or near-zero growth in non-food products.
During the reporting period, according to Rosstat, prices for vermicelli increased by 0.6%, margarine - by 0.5%, salt - by 0.4%, pasteurized milk, powdered milk formulas for baby food, canned fruits and berries for baby food, pasta, cookies - by 0.2%, boiled sausages, canned meat for baby food, rice, lunches in the canteen, cafe, snack bar (except for the canteen in the organization) - by 0.1%. At the same time, prices fell: for granulated sugar - by 2.2%, buckwheat - by 0.7%, chicken eggs and canned vegetables for baby food - by 0.4%, lamb and sterilized milk - by 0. 3%, pork, chicken meat, frozen fish and sunflower oil - by 0.2%, beef, sausages, sausages, butter, rennet cheeses, bread and bakery products from wheat flour of various varieties, millet, vodka - by 0.1 %.
On average, fruit and vegetable products fell in price by 3.8%, including white cabbage - by 13.8%, potatoes - by 7%, table beets - by 6.3%, tomatoes - by 5.6%, onions - by 3.6%, bananas - by 3.4%, carrots - by 3%, cucumbers - by 0.5%. At the same time, apple prices rose by 0.1%.
