A batch of halal duck meat weighing more than 26 tons was shipped from the Rostov region to the UAE.
The results of the departmental examination confirmed the full compliance of the products with the requirements of the importing country, both in terms of quality and veterinary and sanitary safety criteria. The permit for the export of goods was issued at the Millerovsky veterinary clearance point.
The shipment of the first batch of duck carcass parts to the United Arab Emirates in November 2021 was announced by the Damate group of companies. The products of the subsidiary of the holding company in the Rostov region, New Duck Farms LLC, began to be delivered through the highly profitable HoReCa channel. For a year and a half, the parties have strengthened cooperation.
In March 2023, the Rosselkhoznadzor agreed with the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment on a veterinary certificate for the supply of venison. Earlier, Russia received the right to export several other types of regulated food products to the United Arab Emirates, including poultry meat and table eggs. Negotiations are ongoing to expand the range of deliveries.
Rosselkhoznadzor expects a significant increase in exports to the countries of the Arab world over the next four years, and in the development of the trade turnover system, the UAE can play the role of a platform for Russian agricultural products to enter the markets of the Persian Gulf.
