Rosselkhoznadzor imposes a ban on the supply of poultry products from two states of Mexico from March 25, 2019? reports tass.ru.

"Due to the deterioration of the epizootic situation of Newcastle disease in Mexico,  there imposed a temporary restrictions on exports to the Russian Federation from the territory of the states of Tlaxcala and Aguascalientes of the United Mexican States. The ban imposed on live hatching eggs, poultry meat and all types of poultry products that have not passed heat treatment (at least 70 degrees), feed and feed additives, as well as used equipment for the maintenance, slaughter and cutting of birds, "- notes Rosselkhoznadzor.

In addition, the transit of poultry products from these states through the territory of the Russian Federation is also prohibited. The number of Mexican states with prohibition of poultry export to Russia has reached five.

Newcastle disease is a viral disease of birds. Preventive vaccination and sanitary measures reduce the likelihood of outbreaks of the disease.
