The Veterinary and Life departmental publication of the Rosselkhoznadzor reports that, according to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, from the beginning of the year to mid-October, the total volume of poultry meat supplies from Russia to Saudi Arabia increased by 98% year-on-year.

Artem Daushev, assistant head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, spoke about the development of trade relations with the countries of the Persian Gulf at the plenary session in Riyadh dedicated to the opening of the international exhibition Saudi Agriculture 2022, which took place the day before, on October 17.

The volume of deliveries of Russian beef to the market of Saudi Arabia in January-October increased by 70% year on year. Stable trade relations are being formed with other Middle Eastern states, Artem Daushev noted.

In particular, the volume of beef exports increased six times over the same period. The United Arab Emirates doubled and quadrupled their purchases of beef and poultry, respectively. Since the beginning of the year, twice as much poultry meat has been shipped to Bahrain than in 2021.
