According to preliminary estimates, Russia exported 4.01 mln tonnes of wheat in February. This volume was record for this month, declared еhe analytical center at Rusagrotrans JSC. Previous February record of wheat export was achieved in 2018 (3.3 mln tonnes).

Russia exported 3.37 mln tonnes of wheat in January.

Moreover, Russia exported 272 thsd tonnes of barley in February, up from 228 thsd tonnes in January. Corn shipments increased from 190 thsd tonnes to 230 thsd tonnes.

Russia exported about 4.53 mln tonnes of grain in February compared to 3.82 mln tonnes in January.

It supplied about 33 mln tonnes of wheat outside the EAEU since the start of 2020/21 MY, up by 33% compared to the same period of the preceding season. Overall export of wheat (including shipment to the EAEU) totaled about 34.3 mln tonnes.

The experts of Rusagrotrans JSC expect that Russia will cut export of grain to 1.4-1.6 mln tonnes, including 0.8-1 mln tonnes of wheat in March due to the export restrictions.
