According to the results of the current year, the export of Russian agricultural products in monetary terms will amount to $ 24 billion. This was reported by Kommersant with reference to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.

According to him, this is much lower than last year, due to a decrease in grain supplies. Earlier, experts reported that the reason for this was an improvement in the overall quality of Russian grain. Recall that the latest study of wheat lots, which was conducted by the Grain Quality Assessment Center, showed a sharp increase in the share of food classes. Against this background, in turn, the export of oil and fat products, which is also one of the key export goods in the country, has grown by a quarter. However, in the near future its export will also be slowed down due to a three-fold increase in duties (up to 20 percent).

Another reason was the high domestic prices for agricultural products. For example, at the beginning of the month, the SovEkon analytical center spoke about the sharp rise in price of sunflower and sunflower oil. The average cost of oilseed amounted to 15.8 thousand rubles per ton, the maximum could reach up to 18 thousand, and oil - exceeded 42 thousand rubles. Export prices for wheat, according to its own data, rose to a record in the agricultural season of $ 212.5 per ton., Average prices, depending on the class - up to 10.55-11.65 thousand rubles.

Despite the low cash export, the Ministry of Agriculture leaves no plans to achieve a figure of $ 45 billion over the next five years. Recall that such a task was set in the framework of the strategy “International Cooperation and Export”.
