The volume of agricultural production in Russia in January - March 2023 increased by 2.9% compared to the same period in 2022 and reached 930.9 billion rubles.

"The volume of agricultural production of all agricultural producers (agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) households, household households) in March 2023 in current prices, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 421.2 billion rubles, in the first quarter of 2023 - 930.9 billion rubles ", - noted in Rosstat.

The volume of production for March 2023 increased by 3.3% compared to March 2022. According to statistics, at the end of March 2023, the number of cattle in the farms of all agricultural producers amounted to 17.8 million heads (0.8% less compared to the corresponding date of the previous year), including cows - 7.7 million (- 0. 6%), pigs - 28.3 million (+5.7%), sheep and goats - 21.2 million heads (-0.8%), poultry - 559.7 million heads (+1.9%).
