The head of the Russian Feed Union, Dmitry Grachev, expects that the cost of feed for monogastric animals will increase by 20-30% in the near future. In addition, he expects a shortage of some key feed additives.
Dmitry Grachev said this during a conference for participants in the livestock and feed industry. Grachev, in particular, stressed that he expects a repetition of the situation in the fall of 2021, when the price of animal feed on the Russian market has risen sharply. Then the monthly losses of livestock breeders from the so-called "amino acid crisis" amounted to more than 10 billion rubles, calculated in the Russian Feed Union.
In early March, it was reported that the cost of the price of soybean meal in Russia increased by about a quarter during the week.
