Western buyers are urged to refuse everything Russian, including food products. But there is a problem here - people abroad have become accustomed to delicious products in Russian stores. Our exporters are confident that there will be no need to cut deliveries. It may just change directions and priorities. The correspondent of REN TV studied the new logistics.Russian food manufacturers are changing the export priorities

In this Egyptian store, each pack has the inscription: "Made in Russia." Not only those who are nostalgic for their homeland come here. The hearts and stomachs of the Egyptians have long been conquered by our products.

“I really like Russian food, especially dumplings. I buy them every week. And if they suddenly disappear, I will be upset,” says Karim.

Literally everything is brought to foreign counters from Russia. And the foreign buyer is ready to pay - first of all for quality. What is exported today is in the hundreds of items. So that potential importers can get acquainted with the goods, such exhibition centers are opened.

But in order to enter the foreign market, manufacturers sometimes have to obtain special certificates of conformity - halal, kosher or vegetarian.

Russia is increasing exports. Over the past 6 years, the export of products abroad has grown by 90%. And even the pandemic did not stop the supply.

“China is an absolute priority. Accordingly, we also talked about Vietnam as a priority market. Egypt is for us in many ways a window to Africa. And accordingly, the UAE - to the countries of the Arab world, respectively, to the countries of the Persian Gulf, ”says Denis Kazannikov, head of projects to support the export of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Export Center.

Fish, seafood, butter, milk, meat - deliveries of these products showed steady growth in the first three months of the year.

“Each region has an export support center, we have a federal structure to support exports from Russia, and with the right approach, indeed, many Russian companies have already managed to enter a large number of markets,” said Dmitry Polyakov, director of an export consulting company.

And it’s not easy to just give up this product. For example, last year the volume of exports of Russian chocolate overtook the performance of one of the world leaders - Switzerland.

“Natural ingredients, unique technological finds. Our know-how - the use of primary pressed cocoa beans - this gives unique characteristics, ”explains Vladimir Tatarchuk, export sales director of the confectionery holding.

Production does not stop, only 8 tons of sweets come out of this conveyor per day. This batch is already ready for shipment and is on its way to Azerbaijan.

Russian sweets are especially loved in Asia. It is almost impossible to find, for example, ice cream from local producers of the same quality there. And our manufacturers have easily entered the healthy food market.

“Chicory, for example, lowers blood pressure – everyone knows that. Rosehip is our exclusive product, it is a storehouse of vitamins. There is a trend towards healthy eating all over the world, so we are in the trend,” says Olga Sabetova, Operations Director of the Aronap coffee and chicory plant.

By the way, it is hardly necessary to reduce production. Many Russian manufacturers do not work with imported semi-finished products. This means that they are completely autonomous and do not depend on foreign supplies.
