In the first quarter of this year, Russian pork was exported to 11 countries, according to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor).

Among the main importers are Belarus and Vietnam, with Vietnam increasing its purchases by 2.2 fold and Belarus by 1.2 fold.

From January to March, shipments increased 1.2 fold, reports the agency, but did not report on the volume of exports.

The Rosselkhoznadzor notes that the leading buyer is China, while Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia are increasing their imports.

In addition, exports of mutton and goat meat increased 2.2-fold, with Iran being the main buyer. Supplies of live animals - pigs and small ruminants increased 1.4 fold.

Rosselkhoznadzor also reported that in the first quarter, nine types of Russian livestock products were approved by five countries of the world. Russian companies can now supply leather, wool, and animal feed to India; fish products to Peru and Tunisia; venison to UAE; and artemia cysts to Guyana. In addition, the list of company suppliers was expanded for peas, fish products, and honey to China; fish products to Vietnam; dairy products, poultry, and crabs to Saudi Arabia; as well as producers of various categories of livestock products to Azerbaijan.
