By the end of 2022, gross egg production in Russia will amount to 45.8 billion pieces, which is 1 billion more than last year, Vladimir Fisinin, president of the Russian Poultry Union (Rosptitsesoyuz), told Veterinary and Life.
“The increase in egg production compared to 2021 will average 2.8%, or 1 billion eggs. Thus, we will reach a gross egg production of 45.8 billion pieces,” he said.
The increase in poultry meat production in 2022 compared to 2021 is estimated at 5.2%, Vladimir Fisinin said. He clarified that the gross production of poultry meat at the end of the year will amount to 5.2 million tons in slaughter weight.
“In addition to providing Russians with 100% meat and eggs, the industry is actively engaged in the export of products. We deliver products to 17 countries of the world. According to the forecast of Rosptitsesoyuz, the export of poultry products by the end of 2022 will amount to 320 thousand tons of poultry meat and 600 million food eggs,” the source of the “Vizh” noted.
He added that at present Russia has taken the 4th place in the world in terms of the gross production of poultry meat, and the 7th place in the production of eggs.
