In the first quarter of 2022, Russians increased purchases in online stores by 59% to 1.25 trillion rubles. compared to a year earlier. The share of e-commerce in the total retail turnover was 11.2%. This was reported by the Association of Online Trading Companies.
Approximately 93% of the total sales volume - 1.17 trillion rubles - falls on the domestic market (+64%), 7% - 88.6 billion rubles - for cross-border (+11%). The amount of online grocery purchases in March 2022 is twice as much as this month's data for 2021: 60.5 billion rubles and 30.5 billion rubles, respectively.
If we talk about average receipts, the most noticeable increase was in the categories of "accessories" (bags, gloves, hats, etc.) — 6.5 times and "flowers and gifts" — 2 times. On average, the average receipt in the categories "auto parts and auto accessories", "clothing and footwear", "sporting goods", "digital and household appliances" became 23% higher. The most noticeable decrease in the average receipt in the category of "garden equipment and inventory" is by 56%. The receipt of the commodity groups "pet stores", "furniture and household goods", "pharmacies" and "books" became 16-25% lower. In other categories, the changes are insignificant.
The Association of E-Commerce Companies (AKIT) unites the largest marketplaces, Internet and omnichannel companies that form more than 60% of the volume of the E-commerce market in Russia.
AKIT today includes 70 online stores: Ozon.ru , Wildberries, Citylink, M.video, avito.ru , lamoda, Platypus, Crossroads, Yandex.Market, Sbermarket, Detsky Mir, Svyaznoy, DNS and others.
