From July 14 to 22, 2024, an important event for the Russian agricultural sector will take place: a delegation of Russian farmers will go on a business mission to Africa and KSA. The visit will cover Gabon, Cameroon and Saudi Arabia and will be a significant step towards expanding international cooperation for the Russian agricultural industry within the framework of the international congress ASIAEXPO.
The main goal of the business mission will be to strengthen trade ties between Russia, KSA and African countries. Professionals from the agricultural sector will exchange experience and knowledge, discuss industry trends and challenges at the highest level. The delegation includes representatives of leading Russian agricultural enterprises, experts in the field of agriculture and heads of specialized associations.
One of the key tasks of the mission will be to discuss prospects for cooperation with representatives of the authorities of Gabon and Cameroon. During the visit, two stages of meetings are planned with the Prime Ministers of African countries Raymond Ndong Sima and Joseph Dion Nguta. Russian partners also joined the trip - the National Union of Poultry Farmers, Meat Association and Milk Producers. It is expected that these negotiations will help identify the main areas of cooperation and agree on projects in the agricultural sector.
Earlier, in March 2024, Russian representatives already visited African countries as part of the ASIAEXPO ecosystem. Then meetings were held with large retail chains that expressed interest in importing Russian agricultural products. As a result, agreements were reached on the further development of trade relations and the planning of subsequent visits.
Igor Milovanov, General Director of the ASIAEXPO Congress, noted: “Our previous visits to Africa showed high interest in cooperation with Russia. We see huge potential in the development of trade relations with African countries, and the upcoming mission will be an important step towards realizing these opportunities.”
The following activities are planned as part of the upcoming business mission:
1. Getting to know the key key people from the Ministries of Agriculture, Livestock, Investment and Commerce in the Middle East and Africa.
2. Establishing business contacts with large distributors, retail chains and manufacturers.
3. Visits to the production of Almari - the largest full-cycle milk producer, Nadec - a joint-stock company in the field of agriculture and food industry with state participation, SABIC - a large manufacturer of agricultural products and fertilizers in 50 countries.
4. Match making with potential buyers and B2B negotiations.
5. Presentation of Russian-made products.
6. Acquaintance with investment projects in Cameroon, Gabon and Saudi Arabia.
It is expected that the visit of the Russian delegation will give new impetus to the development of trade relations between Russia, African countries and KSA. Strengthening partnerships in the agricultural sector will open up new opportunities for both parties, helping to improve food security and sustainable agricultural development.
The mission organizers emphasize the importance of such visits for the development of international cooperation. The Russian agricultural industry has significant potential and is ready to offer its advanced technologies and products on the international market. In turn, African countries represent a promising market and are interested partners in the field of agriculture.
ASIAEXPO Congress, the organizer of the business mission, is actively working to strengthen international relations and promote Russian agricultural interests abroad. In 2024, it is planned to hold a number of similar events aimed at expanding the export potential of Russian agricultural products and establishing long-term partnerships with foreign countries.
The Russian agricultural delegation is preparing for fruitful work in the countries of Africa and Saudi Arabia. The visit will be an important moment on the path to developing international cooperation and strengthening Russia’s position in the global agricultural market. The mission participants are confident that the upcoming meetings and negotiations will lay a solid foundation for long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The International Agricultural Congress ASIAEXPO will be held in Russia on the territory of the Sirius University of Science and Technology on October 23-25, 2024. Participants will be representatives of more than 50 countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the CIS.
ASIAEXPO Congress is an ecosystem that includes an international agricultural exhibition, a business program of practitioners of the agricultural industry in Russia and the countries of Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and a business mission.
