Russia has increased meat production volumes by 13.5% to 792,000 tonnes (t) from January-April 2016 compared with the same period last year, according to a recent report from Russia’s State Statistical Service. Assuming this pace of development continues, the country could experience a major oversupply problem very soon, say experts.
