“The parties agreed on the basic content of the protocol for the supply of beef from Russia to China and the corresponding veterinary certificate. At the same time, the Chinese department reported on the format for providing information on Russian enterprises that are interested in delivering their products to China to review their registration after completion of the approval of this protocol” the report said.

“At the same time, the Rosselkhoznadzor raised a question related to the supply of pig-breeding products, live animals, fish products and non-food products to China. The Chinese side said that these issues are under its consideration,” the service adds.

In early November 2018, the Rosselkhoznadzor and the main customs department of the PRC signed protocols on veterinary and sanitary requirements for the mutual supply of frozen poultry meat and dairy products.

Over the past years, the Russian authorities have also been working on the issue of supplying Russian beef and pork to the Chinese market.
