In August 2021, the largest livestock herd was registered in the Republic of Tatarstan - 564.2 thousand heads. The second place was taken by the Bryansk region - 543.6 thousand heads. The third leader is the Voronezh region - 363.8 thousand heads.
The other seven subjects that made the ranking were:
• Krasnodar Territory - 340.4 thousand heads;
• Altai Territory - 300.2 thousand heads;
• Novosibirsk region - 290.7 thousand heads;
• Republic of Bashkortostan - 279.8 thousand heads;
• Udmurt Republic - 274.1 thousand heads;
• Kirov region - 224.5 thousand heads;
• Kaluga Region - 219.0 thousand heads.
At the same time, the highest growth rates of the livestock numbers were registered in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic - 20% up compared to August 2020 (20.3 thousand heads). The second place was taken by the Republic of Ingushetia - 13.9% (3.9 thousand heads). The Kursk region closed the three leaders in terms of the largest increase in the livestock numbers - 12.8% by 2021 (115.3 thousand heads).
The other seven subjects that made the ranking were:
• Bryansk region - 10.9% up compared to previous year (543.6 thousand heads);
• Penza region - 10.6% up (65.7 thousand heads);
• Kabardino-Balkarian Republic - 9.5% up (34.1 thousand heads);
• Volgograd region - 8.6% up (34.8 thousand heads);
• Sakhalin Region - 7.5% up (17.8 thousand heads);
• Kaluga region - 6.9% up (219.0 thousand heads);
• Republic of Crimea - 6.7% up (18.8 thousand heads).
