From October 4 to 13, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation will hold the first agricultural week in Moscow, dedicated to the Day of the Agricultural and Processing Worker.
Within the framework of Agricultural Week, the 21st agricultural exhibition and the national gastronomic festival Golden Autumn on Red Square will be held on October 9-12. At the same time, a festival of Russian winemaking will be organized in Moscow restaurants. Business and cultural events will be held at the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Agricultural Academy named by K.A. Timiryazev and the State Kremlin Palace.
At the International Agro-Industrial Forum (MAPF-2019), Russian and foreign experts will discuss global problems of agricultural development. The plenary session of the forum will be devoted to the creation of the Russian “green brand”, the prospects for the production of organic and environmentally friendly agricultural products and the legal aspects of its regulation. In particular, it is planned to pay special attention to the issues of differentiation and legislative protection of the concepts of “eco”, “bio” and “organic”.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Gordeev, one of the main topics of discussion on the opening day of MAPF-2019 will be the harmonization of Russian and European certification systems and accreditation of organic producers. Products under the brands of leading food producers, a museum of agricultural machinery in the center of the capital, workshops and other events will clearly illustrate the breakthrough in the development of the Russian agricultural sector over the past five years. The integrated development of rural areas will be discussed at the Business Breakfast of the Ministry of Agriculture at Sberbank Corporate University, where government officials and representatives of the business community are invited.
