Employees of the federal state budgetary institution “All-Russian State Center for Quality and Standardization of Medicinal Products for Animals and Feeds” analyzed data on certain types of agricultural products supervised by the Rosselkhoznadzor and imported into Russia from January 1 to 13, 2019.
According to the information and analytical system "Argus", the volume of imports of agricultural products or this period amounted to about 57.94 thousand tons.
The main share of imports fell on four groups of goods: "Meat and offal" (more than 18 thousand tons, 31.4% of the total share of imports), "Milk and dairy products" (more than 17 thousand tons, 29.7%), “Fish and seafood” (more than 13 thousand tons, 22.7%) and “Feed and feed additives” (more than 6 thousand tons, 10.5%).
According to "Argus", in the first two weeks of the new year, 657.79 tons of eggs (1.2% of total imports) and 2,597.97 tons of plant products (4.5%) were imported into Russia. Among meat products, the maximum share in imports got beef (6,573.68 tons) and poultry meat (3,686 tons).
In the period of 1-13 January, 2019, 44.1% of products were imported from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union; 21.9% - from the countries of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation; 7.4% - from EU countries. The main trading countries were Belarus (41.4%), Paraguay (6.6%) and Argentina (6.5%).
