One should not expect an increase in prices for pork and poultry next year. This opinion was expressed by the head of the National Meat Association (NMA) Sergei Yushin.
“Next year we expect a very significant increase in pork production. Accordingly, prices will be stable. And low prices for pork always do not allow raising prices for poultry meat, ”Yushin said.
According to him, at present there is a shortage of important amino acids in Russia, if this problem can be solved, then no problems with the supply of meat should arise. “Today we are faced with a deficiency of the most essential amino acids - lysine and vitamin B4. If we resolve this situation, then there will be no problems for the consumer market, ”the expert added.
Yushin noted that in recent years, wholesale prices for poultry and pork have been declining. “Over the past three or four years, wholesale prices for poultry and pork decreased,” the speaker said.
