A new wholesale distribution center for agricultural products will start operating in Primorye from May 6. In the future, agricultural fairs and tastings will be held here.
A wholesale distribution center will open in Primorye, where local farmers will be able to store agricultural products, as well as immediately sell them on the spot both wholesale to retail chains and retail, the regional administration reports. In the message, the administration notes that there are no analogues of this center either in the Far East or in Siberia.
According to the administration, the center consists of 65,000 square meters of warehouse space with a multi-temperature storage system, a separate cold store, a farmers' market and a parking lot for 500 cars. The territory of the warehouse is equipped in such a way that agricultural festivals can also be held here, for example, the festival of tomatoes or strawberries, according to the administration.
The warehouse will be of interest to both ordinary residents of Primorye who want to buy fresh farm products, and representatives of retail chains who can load store shelves with fresh products from local farmers, the administration noted. For farmers, the main advantage will be the ability to communicate directly with buyers, without intermediaries, and set their own prices. The center will start operating on May 6th.
