A closed-type poultry complex will be built in the Stavropol Territory, where they plan to grow Peking ducks. The investor of the project is a French company.

The regional Ministry of Agriculture told the press that the design capacity of the complex will be 20 thousand heads of the parent herd. The plant will erect a feed production line, an incubation workshop and a slaughter and primary processing workshop for poultry, which can receive and process up to 10 thousand tons of duck meat per year. The complex will pick up pace for two years, and then it will reach an annual output of 320 tons of meat.

When the complex is built, the shortage of production of hatching eggs and meat products of waterfowl will be reduced. About 5 thousand tons of duck meat are now produced in the Stavropol Territory, and the annual demand is 10 times more, about 50 thousand tons. The new enterprise will increase production by almost 2 times.

As the Minister of Agriculture of the Territory Vladimir Sitnikov specified, the French investor proposes to conduct on-site breeding work, as well as its own technologies for keeping, caring and feeding the duck herd.
