More than 18 thousand entrepreneurs were attracted to the Russian agro-industrial complex (AIC) in 2022. This was reported by the press service of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Victoria Abramchenko.

"In 2022, 5.6 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget to the regions for measures to create a support system for farmers and develop rural cooperation. As a result, about 18.3 thousand people came to small and medium-sized businesses in the agro-industrial complex in 2022" , - Abramchenko's words are given in the message.

As recalled in the press service of the Deputy Prime Minister, the set of measures is united within the framework of the federal project "Acceleration of small and medium-sized businesses." Among the support measures are the provision of subsidies for the creation and development of farms and agricultural cooperatives, subsidies for the purchase of goods from personal subsidiary farms, and others. In addition, support measures include receiving a grant for the creation and development of Agrostartup farms. As Abramchenko clarified, 1,354 peasant and farm enterprises became its recipients last year, the amount of budget funds involved exceeded 3.5 billion rubles.

"Grant support gives its results. Thanks to Agrostartup, its recipients increased their revenue and created more than 2.8 thousand jobs, exceeding the planned figure by almost 3 times," the Deputy Prime Minister noted. For 2023, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, 6.3 billion rubles of federal funds are provided for the creation of a support system for farmers and the development of rural cooperation, which will allow involving about 19.4 thousand people in small agribusiness.

About "Agrostartup"

Earlier, it was decided to increase the size of Agrostartup for beginner agricultural producers. The decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Thus, the size of the grant for those who breed cattle has been increased from 5 million to 7 million rubles. Both meat producers and milk suppliers can count on grants. For entrepreneurs in other areas of agriculture, including in the field of crop production, the size of the grant will increase from 3 million to 5 million rubles.

For livestock breeders working in agricultural consumer cooperatives, payments will increase from 6 million to 8 million rubles. The grant for members of cooperatives growing crops or engaged in other activities has been increased from 4 million to 6 million rubles. The same resolution increased the maximum amount of compensation to agricultural consumer cooperatives from 10 million to 20 million rubles - we are talking about partial compensation for the costs associated with the purchase of agricultural products.
