Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, at a meeting with the largest players in the poultry market, agreed to stabilize prices on the domestic market. This is stated in a message on the ministry's website.

“During a meeting with the largest producers, an agreement was reached to intensify production and stabilize prices on the domestic market,” the statement says.

At the meeting, the minister emphasized that the economics of poultry meat and egg production, taking into account the state support provided, makes it possible to provide a more acceptable price level for the population. The minister also recalled the possibility of state regulation of prices if the situation does not change.

Earlier, Rosstat recorded a significant increase in prices for eggs and poultry meat. In September, prices for chicken eggs increased in almost all regions. In some of them, the increase was immediately 30% compared to the price in August. Since the beginning of the year, eggs have risen in price by 4.9%. Poultry meat also increased in price in September. In half of the regions the growth ranged from 5 to 23.8%. In the rest - less than 5%. Since the beginning of the year, poultry meat has already risen in price by 24.5%. The Ministry of Agriculture then commented that there was no reason for an increase in prices for these products. Poultry meat production is growing, and there is no shortage on the domestic market.
