The production of poultry meat in Russia is growing, the rise in price of this product is seasonal. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

"Over the five months of this year, the livestock industry has maintained a positive production trend. Thus, compared to the same period last year, the production of livestock and poultry in agricultural organizations (large, medium, small) increased by 3.6%, to 5.4 million tons per live weight. The indicator for poultry added 1.9%, reaching 2.7 million tons, for eggs - 4%, up to 16 billion pieces. For chicken meat, the price increased by 6% over the year. The current price dynamics is seasonal, "- the message says.

The ministry noted that the price situation in the food market is stable, for most items, the increase in producer prices generally corresponds to inflation rates.

Earlier, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, citing Yulia Panferova, chairman of the board of the National Union of Meat Processors, reported that the tense situation with the supply of poultry meat is forcing meat producers to revise recipes and replace chicken with pork if possible. The publication noted that this situation leads to an increase in purchase prices.
