Over the past four weeks, Russians have reported the most significant price increases for sugar, meat (including poultry), and dairy. Such data follows from the survey of the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM), presented on the organization's website.
Most of the respondents note the increase in the price of meat and poultry - 41 percent. Slightly fewer respondents (39%) report an increase in sugar prices over the past month. 37 percent complain about the increase in the price of milk and dairy products.
Another 32 claim a significant increase in prices for bread, 31 for sunflower oil, 30 for fish and seafood. 24 percent of respondents note a significant increase in the price of eggs and almost the same number (23) of fruits and vegetables. A noticeable increase in alcohol prices, despite its no less popularity in the country, was noticed by only 10 percent of citizens.
The survey was conducted from 24 to 26 June this year among 1,500 adult citizens of both sexes from 104 settlements in 53 Russian regions.
