Tula is ready to replace foreign incubators in Russian poultry farming

This is how a 3D model of an incubator for hatching chickens looks like. This complex consists of more than 2000 parts. The multifunctional unit is the flagship of the Tula factory for the development and production of agricultural equipment, mainly for the poultry industry. The Tula enterprise is one of the few in Russia where a full cycle of production of farm equipment has been established. And so complete that they even program and assemble the boards necessary to automate all the processes of poultry farms.

“Our department is collecting an order for the Oka poultry farm. We have been cooperating with them for many years. We are assembling a light control cabinet,” says Vladimir Safronov, assembler of radio-electronic equipment.

The task of the incubator is to automatically hatch the maximum number of chickens. Most Russian farms are equipped with similar complexes. That's just almost 80% of them are made in Germany. In the event of a breakdown of equipment, repair is almost impossible; a complete replacement of the installation will be required. Here, Tula specialists are ready to help. According to their estimates, the characteristics of a locally produced incubator are not inferior to foreign counterparts, while being almost half the price.

According to Maxim Kondrashkin, General Director of the company producing agricultural machinery, “our company also produces LED lighting, which is included in the top of the best lighting. Our equipment is in many factories. This is the Tula poultry farm, Volovskaya and several farmers.”

Over the past years, equipment has been supplied to the CIS countries and the European Union. This year, the company's management also expects to maintain export opportunities. Support in this matter is provided at the regional level.

“The government of the Tula region is faced with the task of helping businesses, finding new markets for products in this geopolitical situation. Now it is important to participate in international exhibitions both in Russia and abroad. The Export Support Center provides full funding for participation in the exhibition,” said Daria Medvedeva, head of the Tula Export Support Center.

The livestock equipment business admits that some important components are still imported from abroad. Therefore, at the moment, incubators cannot be called completely domestic. This shortcoming is planned to be eliminated within six months. Modernization is planned, which should completely protect the company from the influence of any foreign factors.
