The production of livestock and poultry meat for slaughter in live weight in the Tver region in January-June 2022 amounted to 102.4 thousand tons, which is 14.6% more than in the same period last year, Tverstat reports.

At the same time, milk production in the farms of the region amounted to 102.8 thousand tons (a decrease of 0.8%).

During the reporting period, 54.4 million eggs were received in the Tver region (a decrease of 8.5%).

Farms of all categories as of July 1 of the current year kept 84.4 thousand heads of cattle (a decrease of 7.1%), including cows - 38.5 thousand (a decrease of 6.7%); pigs - 772.8 thousand heads (decrease by 27.7%), sheep and goats - 39.8 thousand heads (decrease by 11.6%), poultry - 3.5 million (growth by 11.3%) .
