On 3 April, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) lifted restrictions on supplies of certain meat products made by two Belarusian enterprises, BelTA learned from the website of Rosselkhoznadzor.

Borisov Meat Processing Plant No. 1 and Minsk Meat Processing Plant got green light to export to Russia sausage products and heat-treated meat products containing pork and beef. Minsk Meat Processing Plant is now also allowed to export canned meat and meat-containing products featuring pork and sausage products that do not contain pork.

Eligible for export to Russia are products made as from 3 April. The products shall be accompanied by digital veterinary certificates.

Rosselkhoznadzor made the decision after perusing materials sent by the Belarusian party and in view of the guarantees issued by the Veterinary and Food Oversight Department of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry and the appeal of the Belarusian ambassador to Russia.
