Kyiv officials and their counterparts from Bosnia-Herzegovina have agreed on the form of international veterinary certificate for the export of edible eggs.
Ukrainian poultry sector has a new market for egg exports, as the government has concluded the negotiation with Bosnia-Herzegovina on this matter. The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) informs that Ukraine and the authorized body of Bosnia and Herzegovina have agreed on the form of international veterinary certificate for the export of edible eggs.
In the last two years, the Ukranian poultry sector has expanded fast in Europe and some other parts of the world such as the Middle East, with MHP being the largest producer and exporter of poultry in the country.
During the first three months of this year, poultry exports increased by 39% compared to the same period of 2018, to 103,600 tonnes, the State Fiscal Service has reported. At the same time, according to its data, in monetary terms exports of these products increased by 31%, to $146.9 million.
Imports of poultry in January-March 2019 decreased by 0.5%, to 30,700 tonnes, in monetary terms decreased 6%, to $12.3 million.
