Russian President Vladimir Putin drew the attention of the Government of the Russian Federation and the heads of regions to the need to increase the volume of food production in the domestic market.

Speaking at the VTB Capital investment forum "Russia is Calling", the President noted that the authorities are already supporting manufacturers of goods that are most susceptible to sharp price fluctuations, primarily food.

‘Here again I draw the attention of the Russian government and colleagues in the regions - increasing production volumes and increasing the availability of food on the domestic market is a key criterion for the effectiveness of work in this area,’ Putin said.
