Ukraine’s poultry population was declined by 2020. Data from government statistics show that the country’s poultry population fell 4.5 percent in October compared to 2019.
The country’s poultry meat exports also declined in the first six months of this year, after an increasing golden period.
Estimates show that poultry exports from the country in the first six months of this year compared to the same period last year decreased by more than 85,000 tons.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the MHP, as the largest producer of chicken meat in the country, has managed to regain its position in the international and domestic markets of the country with the growth of production in the third quarter of this year.
Published statistics from the company confirm that the MHP produced more than 540,000 tons of chicken meat in the first nine months of 2020.
The company has managed to make up for the shortfalls with its production jump in the last quarter.
It remains to be seen whether that in the remaining months of 2020, will the Ukrainian poultry industry can make up for shortfalls in the first six months of this year or not.
