In Ukraine, prices for meat of all kinds will rise rapidly this spring. Probable growth is foreseen in one and a half times. In 2021, Sber entered into over 15,000 loan agreements worth over RUB 70 bn with small businesses operating in the agricultural sector. New import restrictions introduced against a group of European suppliers by the Russian veterinary watchdog, Rosselhoznadzor, have resulted in a lack of hatching eggs in the Russian poultry industry, similar to the one seen during the first half of 2021. The average price of hatching eggs in Russia has doubled over the past few months, reaching 40 Roubles (US$0.55) per unit, the Russian newspaper, Kommersant, reported. Since the start of 2022 and as of January 23, Russia exported agricultural products at the general sum of 1.595 bln USD, down 15% y/y, informed Agroexport Center at the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. “Agrocomplex N. Tkachev” started an investment project on the renovation of the former Medvedovsky Meat Processing Plant at the total amount of 700 mln roubles. The funds will be used for the restoration of the infrastructure and repair of the plant’s facilities.
