The press service of Miratorg Agribusiness Holding announced the launch of the first stage of a sheep-breeding complex in the Tula region. The holding is completing the construction of production buildings.

The first batch of animals was brought to the farm. The main strategic tasks of Miratorg, the Russian leader in the production of main types of meat, are to fully satisfy domestic demand and increase the export potential of high-quality domestic meat products.

Now, at the enterprises of a vertically integrated agro-industrial holding, all stages of the production of pork, beef, pink veal and poultry have been implemented. A pilot project for the production of beef was launched last year in the Fatezhsky district of the Kursk region. It includes the creation and development of a pedigree core of sheep breeding with high genetics, the formation of a breeding stock, the cultivation and fattening of lambs to a mass of 45-55 kilograms.

The sheep breeding complex in the Tula region is one of the key links in the process of industrial production of lamb. It is designed for a one-time keeping of 50 thousand heads of sheep and an annual production of 3.3 thousand tons of high-quality meat. Sheep breeding is a new line of business at Miratorg Agribusiness Holding. Over time, the project will become interregional. The implementation of the first stage will provide about 100 new jobs for residents of the Tula region and will give a new impetus to the socio-economic development of the region.
