In the Penza region, according to January-September data, 276.8 thousand tons of cattle and poultry were slaughtered in live weight, which is 22.3% more than in the same period last year.

According to Penzastat, in agribusiness organizations, meat production increased by 50.6 thousand tons (by 24.3%), in farms and private enterprises - by 0.3 thousand tons (by 16.4%), in households decreased by 0.5 thousand tons (2.9%).

Milk production on farms of all categories amounted 269.2 thousand tons.
